I feel the monsoon is the season of nature. I mean summer is all about enjoying meals and relaxing. The Winter season is all about relaxing in front of the heat in the home. But it’s the monsoon that asks us to witness the beauty of nature. When talking about the beauty of nature, flora automatically jumps into the conversation. In this blog, we are giving you some reasons to stand on your balcony and watch the beauty of nature. In short, we are going to list monsoon flowers that you can grow this monsoon season and later on enjoy that superb view of your yard.
Marigold
Colorful flowers are always an excellent sight. The colors bring cheers. When this colorful cheer meets with the refreshing rains, everything becomes magical. Have this magic in your yard by growing marigolds. 2 months from sowing, it begins to blossom with full energy and lasts for 3-4 months.
The flower finds its applications in a wide range of religious events. Its color ranges from orange, yellow, and red. Marigold comes with one more benefit, it keeps mosquitoes away from your yard. So whenever you witness the beauty of your yard, you do not need to worry about disturbing elements i.e. mosquitoes.
Cosmos
The appearance of the cosmos is very similar to daisy flowers. The head of the flower is cup-shaped and it features around 8 petals in them. The color ranges from white, orange, pink, or purple hue. The flower has a simple design yet is very pretty. These small flowers can be sowed in pots as well and can be kept in various corners of the yard. You can have different shades of cosmos and then can create a boundary between them. Overall, the cosmos provides us with a variety of placement options for our yard.
Monsoon Cassia
The name itself is telling that the flower belongs to the monsoon season. The months from May to July are its flowering months. Those who love flowers in clusters form, you can have this one. The design is very unique. Monsoon Cassia consists of around 5 petals that have an arrangement of pinwheel manner. There are no leaves, only flowers. I guess this is the perfect flower and a must-one to have in our yard. Surely go for it.
Periwinkle
Those who are reading my blogs for a long time know how much I love pink flowers. So how come I will not add this one to my list. Just like me, you will too fall in love with this one as soon as I will complete my paragraph. The Periwinkle flower has five linear petals. The petals surround a tube as well. The flowers come in a variety of colors including pink, red-violet, white, and light blue. It is best suited as a potted flower. So try to grow it in clusters in a pot and I am sure you will not get disappointed with the result you achieve after it.
Lotus
Ending this list with our national flower. This pretty aquatic flower consists of floating leaves. Its airy stalk stands upright in the water. Lotus gives us an option of choosing petal distribution. It is available in single, double, or multi-layer petals overlapping patterns. The flowering start in June and goes on till August. So you can have lotus in the monsoon. Its cultivation is a little bit tough, as you have to manage the level of water, but the results are worth watching. I think convincing is not required here, as everyone wants lotus in their yard, so why not let’s get this, this monsoon!
Conclusion
Every season comes with its personality. Everything from flora to food has a particular season. It does not mean you cannot have them in other seasons. It’s just that it flourishes better in their main season. Most of these flowers can be grown in other seasons as well but you will enjoy the most of them in the rainy season. So if you plan to work in your yard this monsoon, carefully plan it and choose those flowers that are easy to be grown and flourish better.
